Properties: white crystalline powder. Solubility in water at 13 ℃ at 2.26%, greater solubility in hot water. When the aqueous solution at 80 ℃, the gradual decomposition of ammonia. Ethanol, ethyl ether solubility at 13 ℃ when, respectively, 1.26% and 0.01%. Was dissolved in liquid ammonia, water, ethanol, dimethylformamide. Relative density (d254) 1.40, melting point 209-212 ℃, stable when dry, do not burn.

Uses: This product isan intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides and dyes. Guanidine nitrate can be produced, dyeing fixing agent, flocculant, adhesives, fertilizers, nitrogen inhibitor. Nitrocellulose stabilizers, hardeners, detergents, vulcanization accelerators, synthetic resins, a flame retardant.
